No. 47 Burnishing Compound

Description
This product is a liquid burnishing compound that is fortified with water based solvents to enhance its cleaning and degreasing power. Ideally suited for steel media burnishing of brass, bronze and related alloys, especially if the parts contain a high soil and oil loading. This product works for burnishing aluminum, zinc die cast parts and other items of high lead content. Keeps the media bright and clean.

Directions
When using this compound for the first time (or after an extended shutdown), on steel media in vibratory or tumbling equipment, rinse the media thoroughly to remove all traces of previously used compound. Following this rinse procedure, add compound to (per mix directions below) and run in the media (no parts) for 15 to 20 minutes. Rinse again. The equipment and steel media will then be ready for top-notch performance.
For flow-through systems, use 1 or 2 ounces of product per gallon of water. Set the flow rate to deliver 1 gallon of end use solution per hour for each cubic foot of vibrating container capacity. Adjust as necessary.
For Example, for a 3 cubic foot machine, meter the end use solution at a rate of 3 gallons per hour.
For Manual Addition (e.g. batch runs), add 1 or 2 ounces of product for each cubic foot of vibrating container capacity. Consult your RICHWOOD representative for more specific use applications, or e-mail a technician at Tech@RichwoodIndustries.com.
