Centrifugal vs vibratory deburring.
Both processes deburr parts in bulk, but the force is different and so is the outcome. Centrifugal barrels run at up to roughly 25 G and finish in minutes. Vibratory bowls work at about 1 G over hours.
What you get.
Speed
A centrifugal barrel finishes in about 30 minutes what a vibratory bowl takes 4 to 8 hours to do.
Finish
Centrifugal gives a uniform isotropic finish and can reach a mirror. Vibratory gives an even but softer cut.
Honest fit
For small-to-medium parts and speed, centrifugal wins. For very large or long parts, vibratory may still be right. We will tell you straight.
The machine for this work.
Answered.
Centrifugal barrel finishing is far faster. A batch that takes a vibratory machine 4 to 8 hours often finishes in about 30 minutes in a centrifugal barrel, up to roughly 16 times faster.
Choose vibratory for very large or long parts that will not fit a barrel, or for gentle bulk finishing that does not need high energy.
