An extremely hard, fine grained, abrasive-free ceramic media for light deburring, driving loose abrasives, and mild polishing. It may be compounded with loose grit abrasives for varied finishing requirements. It has exceptional impact resistance for its hardness. Media density is 85 lb/cu ft.

A versatile, general-purpose, mildly abrasive media that combines a low wear rate with a respectable metal removal rate. The archived catalog identifies it as the media of choice for most high energy applications. Media density is 90 lb/cu ft. The abrasive is aluminum oxide.

A high performance cutting, deburring, edge radiusing, and surface refinement media for fast metal removal and a fine finish with a moderate wear rate. It provides a faster, more aggressive cut than Composition 62. Media density is 95 lb/cu ft. The abrasive is aluminum oxide.

A fast cutting and relatively fast wearing media for applications where exposure to aluminum oxide cannot be tolerated. The archived catalog lists cemented carbides, high alumina ceramics, and parts that will be welded or brazed later. Media density is 95 lb/cu ft. The abrasive is silicon carbide.

The fastest cutting ceramic media listed in the archived catalog. It is used for rapid edge radiusing, surface refinement, and parting line removal. It is fracture and chip resistant and performs in high energy equipment. It is also the fastest wearing composition. Media density is 100 lb/cu ft.
